The Jarrahdale community came together to celebrate the holiday season for the third year in a row at the annual Jarrahdale Community Christmas Tree. The event held at Jarrahdale Primary School was a fantastic opportunity for the community to celebrate the end of the year with friends and family.

The free event offered face painting, arts and crafts, a pocket money fundraising table, plus so much more. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed Jarrahdale Primary School students and Byford Secondary College students Ruby Nicholson and Amelia performing festive songs.

“Our family attend the Community Christmas Tree each year. This amazing event is run for our community by our community. We are blessed to be part of it each year.” Jan Booth – Community member

The Jarrahdale Community Collective provides free community events, services, and activities throughout the year to develop a stronger, more connected and resilient community.

“Residents need opportunities to participate in community-led activities. Many event attendees can walk to the event, meet with their neighbours and have a great time in a positive and safe atmosphere,” says Stacey Holmwood, committee Executive at Jarrahdale Community Collective. “Jarrahdale is so fortunate to have locals and volunteer groups who put their community first. We couldn’t put on events like these without the help of local volunteers and, of course, our major funding partners like Alcoa and Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.”

The Jarrahdale Community Collective provides several free community events throughout the year.
